Launch Event!

No Cost to Attend,
but RSVP Required:

Local residents and business owners are invited to an open house celebrating Clean Up SoHo successes to date, thanks in large part to private stakeholders who stepped up to sponsor over two dozen high-capacity litter baskets and to a $60,000 City Council grant via Councilmember Margaret Chin.

The city council grant is a welcome affirmation of Clean Up SoHo’s clean streets initiative. The grant will cover approximately six months of service, so we are relying on community support to sustain the momentum over the longer term.

Please join your friends and neighbors, learn more about CleanUpSoHo's community initiatives, and share a glass of wine.
RSVP is required at CleanUpSoho.Eventbrite.com.

Since November 2016, our grassroots network has worked to keep our neighborhood tidy in the wake of all the tourists we receive.

Due to our efforts in 2017, Clean Up SoHo has organized and ordered 28 high-capacity litter baskets – sponsored by over a dozen local businesses, buildings, and residents,  The goal is to acquire 100 for SoHo intersections.

The first 18 baskets will be delivered and installed by DSNY starting December 8. A second batch of baskets has been approved by DSNY, with delivery expected in early 2018. We already have sponsors for a third batch of baskets that will be submitted for DSNY approval soon. Would you like to sponsor a basket? If so, please contact us at info@sohoalliance.org

Special thanks to Ray Ban for donating space and to SoHo Wines for donating libations for this great community event.
