Election day is upon us, and the polls opened at 6 a.m. Citywide the buzz is Democratic candidate Bill de Blasio will blow away Republican Joe Lhota to finally end the reign of Bloomberg. With such a sure lead, don't expect voter turn-out records this year.

The Brooklyn D.A. race is one filled with entertainment as incumbent Charles "Joe" Hynes, after losing the primary, switched parties from Democrat to Republican and is now running against frontrunner Kenneth Thompson once again. Phew.

Most City Council races were locked when voters chose their candidates in September, but, as always, there are a few close runs. For a full list of candidates and races check out DecideNYC.com.
