Japanese born artist Aica grew up drawing family portraits on the back of her father’s electrical engineering blueprints. In Osaka, the city where she grew up, high rises and factories were tempered with rich cultural traditions. Very much the product of her culture, Aicia draws inspiration from animae and manga. However unlike other Japanese artists who portray such forms as dark, Aica’s works tend to be subtle and hopeful.
